  Elises Past The scent of roasted nuts and sizzling sausages hung heavy in the air, mingling with the perfume of jasmine and honeysuckle. Raventon’s annual summer festival was in full swing, a kaleidoscope of color and sound that vibrated with a chaotic energy.                             The Discovery The rain hammered against the grimy windows of Adrian Black’s apartment, a relentless percussion that mirrored the frantic beat of his own heart. The city of Raventon , a concrete labyrinth of secrets and shadows, howled outside, a fitting soundtrack to the turmoil churning within him. He sat hunched over his desk, the meager lamplight casting long, distorted shadows across the worn wood, illuminating a single, chilling object: a blood-streaked note.
